National Reach
While OpenClawGTA started in the Greater Toronto Area, our client base now spans coast to coast. We have deployed OpenClaw for businesses in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, and dozens of smaller cities and towns across Canada.
OpenClaw is software. It does not require physical proximity to install. The same secure remote session that works for a client in Mississauga works identically for a client in Victoria. The result is the same: a fully configured, security-hardened OpenClaw deployment tailored to your specific workflow.
The Remote Setup Process
Every deployment follows the same five-step process, whether the client is across the street or across the country:
- Discovery call — A 30-minute video call to understand your business, workflow, communication channels, and what you want the agent to do. This is where we determine the right configuration for your needs.
- Hardware assessment or VPS provisioning — If you have existing hardware (a Mac Mini, a dedicated PC, or a server), we assess whether it meets the requirements. If not, we provision a VPS (virtual private server) on your behalf and set up the infrastructure.
- Secure remote installation — We connect to your machine via secure remote session and perform the full installation — OpenClaw, all dependencies, channel connections, security hardening, and monitoring. This typically takes 2-3 hours.
- Configuration and testing — We configure your SOUL.md file, set up scheduled tasks, connect all channels (WhatsApp, email, calendar), and test every workflow end to end.
- Video handover — A live video call where we walk you through your new system, show you how to interact with it, and answer all questions. You leave this call with a working agent and the confidence to use it.
For details on our national installation service, see the dedicated page or book a discovery call.
VPS vs. Your Own Hardware
Clients outside the GTA often choose a VPS deployment over using their own hardware. A VPS is a virtual server hosted in a Canadian data center that runs 24/7 without you needing to worry about power outages, internet stability, or hardware maintenance.
The trade-offs:
- VPS — Reliable uptime, no hardware to manage, monthly hosting cost ($15-50/month), data resides in a Canadian data center.
- Your hardware — No monthly hosting cost, data stays physically in your office, requires stable internet and power, you manage the machine.
For most businesses, a VPS is the better choice for reliability. For businesses with specific data residency requirements, dedicated hardware may be preferred.
Time Zone Support
We schedule all calls around your time zone. Pacific and Mountain time clients often prefer afternoon or early evening sessions. Atlantic time clients sometimes prefer morning sessions. The flexibility is built into our process.
Ongoing support is available across all Canadian time zones during business hours, and critical issues are handled with urgency regardless of time zone.
The In-Person Option for GTA Clients
For clients in the Greater Toronto Area, on-site setup is available. We come to your office, set up the hardware, configure everything in person, and conduct the training face-to-face. Some clients prefer this for the hands-on experience and the ability to ask questions in real time while pointing at their screen.
The remote and in-person processes produce identical results. The only difference is whether we are in the same room or on a video call.
